Boston, Massachusetts (May 3, 2023) — Michaela Weaver, a Trial Attorney at Keches Law Group, was recently recognized as an Up & Coming Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The award honors lawyers who have been practicing for 10 years or less but have already distinguished themselves as future leaders in the local legal community. Weaver has tried cases in both federal and superior courts and has negotiated millions of dollars’ worth of settlements for her clients. She also was previously recognized as a Massachusetts 2022 Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
“I’m honored to be recognized as an Up & Coming Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly,” Weaver said. “I’ve always been passionate about getting the justice the people in our local communities deserve and it’s been wonderful to be able to do that in my role at Keches Law Group.”
Weaver works in the Torts Department at Keches and represents clients who have been injured due to negligence, medical malpractice, harassment, abuse, and discrimination, with an emphasis on cases involving sexual harassment and sexual assault in the workplace, at schools and colleges, and residential care facilities.
Prior to her career at Keches Law Group, Weaver spent two and a half years working at a premier boutique civil litigation firm in Boston. Weaver graduated in 2019 from Suffolk University Law School with Distinction in the Trial & Appellate Advocacy Concentration and was a Regional Finalist on Suffolk Law’s National Trial Team. During her studies, she helped indigent criminal defendants through pro bono work, and was recognized with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s 2018 Pro Bono Honor Roll Award.
Weaver’s Up & Coming Lawyer Award will be celebrated at this year’s Excellence in the Law event in Boston on May 16, 2023
