Scholarship Essay Contest

You are here: Home / About / Scholarship Essay Contest

Keches Law Group’s injury lawyers are proud to announce the fifth annual scholarship essay contest. This year we will award one $2,500 scholarship to a candidate (from a union family) pursuing an undergraduate or graduate college degree. Trade school programs are also eligible. We strongly believe a good education is a factor of future success and know financial hurdles prevent many from pursuing their dreams.

Scholarship Essay Prompt

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 8 million skilled-labor jobs were lost from the labor force during the pandemic, and we are facing a nationwide skilled labor shortage. The trade industry desperately needs qualified, skilled professionals, and without a massive increase in workers, the problem will continue to worsen. Do you believe society / the American education system provides enough exposure to career opportunities in the skilled trades? Please feel free to relate your own experience as a family member of a union member.

Apply Now

Submissions for the 2023-2024 school year are now closed. Please check back in the Fall for the next scholarship.
