Attorney

Attorney Brandon Potter joined Keches Law Group in 2025 and focuses his practice on personal injury and medical malpractice matters. He represents individuals and families who have been seriously harmed by negligence, bringing a client-centered approach and an aggressive advocacy style to every case.

Attorney Potter’s legal training emphasized courtroom advocacy and hands-on representation. While attending Roger Williams University School of Law, he served as a Rule 9 Student-Attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, representing indigent misdemeanor defendants in Rhode Island District Court, and also volunteered as a Rule 9 Student-Attorney intern with the Rhode Island Public Defender’s Office, providing pro bono legal services to individuals who otherwise lacked access to representation. Through this work, he gained significant courtroom experience, including trial experience, and earned CALI Awards recognizing top academic performancein the Criminal Defense Clinic, Trial Advocacy, and Advanced Trial Advocacy. Attorney Potter remains actively involved in legal education and currently volunteers as a coach for the Roger Williams University School of Law Trial Team.

In addition to his legal practice, Attorney Potter has served as a State Representative since 2021, representing District 16 in the Rhode Island House of Representatives. He has focused his public service on advocating for vulnerable people, particularly on issues involving healthcare access, nursing home safety, and protections for working families. Through that experience, he has developed a practical understanding of how laws, regulations, and institutional decision-making affect people when they are at their most vulnerable—insight that informs his work representing clients facing powerful insurers, healthcare systems, and other defendants.

A lifelong Cranston resident, Attorney Potter attended Cranston West High School and earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Rhode Island College. He is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island.
