Keches Law Group is proud to announce that our Founder, Attorney George Keches, and his wife, Attorney Ann Maguire Keches, have pledged $1 million to Suffolk University Law School.
$1 Million for Two New Student Scholarships
Driven by a passion to “level the playing field” when it comes to obtaining a legal education, the $1 million pledge will establish two new scholarships at Suffolk University Law School: the George N. Keches JD’75 Term Scholarship Fund and the Thomas F. Healy JD’79 Endowed Scholarship.
$950,000 will establish the George N. Keches JD’75 Term Scholarship Fund. This scholarship will support students from Massachusetts representing the first generation in their families to complete an undergraduate education and who demonstrate financial need.
In addition, $50,000 will establish the Thomas F. Healy JD’79 Endowed Scholarship. This memorial scholarship honors Attorney Keches’ friend and fellow Suffolk Law alumnus, the late Thomas F. Healy JD’79. Attorney Healy was a former Assistant District Attorney for Bristol County and a Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Council member. This scholarship will benefit students with demonstrated financial need.
About George and Ann Keches
George Keches was the youngest Commissioner ever appointed by a Massachusetts Governor to the Department of Industrial Accidents which oversees the adjudication of workers’ compensation cases. After serving as Commissioner, Attorney Keches became a founding partner of Keches Law Group. Since the firm’s beginnings in 1986, it has grown to become one of Massachusetts’ largest plaintiff personal injury practices.
Attorney Keches is a proud graduate of Suffolk University Law School. Today, he offers strategic advice to the university as a member of the Dean’s Cabinet.
“Representing injured workers when so much is at stake in supporting themselves and their families is the most satisfying career I could have chosen,” says Attorney Keches.
Ann Marie Maguire Keches is the founder of Keches Law Group’s Medical Malpractice Department. She joined Keches Law Group in 1995 after practicing law as a partner with a nationally renowned Boston law firm for many years. Attorney Maguire Keches’ experience in the legal profession spans 30+ years, with a career emphasis on representing victims and families in catastrophic personal injury cases. Her achievements include obtaining highly publicized multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
“I have the most rewarding career in the world helping seriously injured clients,” says Attorney Maguire Keches.
