The “Blue Book” lists several conditions in which individuals may qualify for disability. The Blue Book is a state-run manual ran by the Disability Determination Services. It determines whether or not a person meets the criteria for total disability.
Furthermore, on top of the Blue Book listings, a person may meet the requirements for disability benefits under one of the “Compassionate Allowance” listings. This program helps quicken the disability application process for those who suffer from extremely severe disabilities.
