A few very important things to remember when figuring out if you qualify for disability or not:
- Social Security Disability was specifically implemented for those who are unable to work. Funds are given to individuals who cannot perform work duties due to their disability.
- One’s condition must be so extreme that he or she cannot work. The disability must interfere with work-related activities.
- Not all medical conditions qualify. This may come as a shock to many people. The SSA has a Listing of Impairments that classifies all of the major body systems that the SSA refers to as being disabling.
