Taunton is a city located in Bristol County, Massachusetts. It is situated about 35 miles south of Boston and covers an area of approximately 48 square miles. The city has a population of around 57,000 people and is known for its rich history, natural beauty, and vibrant cultural scene. Keches Law Group’s original headquarters were based here.
Taunton was first settled by Europeans in the 1630s and was incorporated as a town in 1639. The city was a center of manufacturing during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, Taunton is a diverse and thriving community with a strong economy that includes healthcare, education, and manufacturing.
The city is home to several notable attractions, including the Taunton Green, a historic park in the center of the city that is surrounded by colonial-era buildings, and the Taunton River, a scenic waterway that offers opportunities for boating and fishing. Taunton is also home to several museums, including the Old Colony Historical Society. The Silver City Galleria, a large shopping mall that attracted visitors from throughout the region, was demolished in 2021.
Taunton is home to several institutions of higher learning, including Bristol Community College and the Taunton campus of Bridgewater State University.
