Plymouth, Massachusetts (June 2, 2023) — Keches Law Group filed a class action lawsuit Friday on behalf of 70,000 current patients of Compass Medical, P.C. relating to their failure to provide timely notice of their intended closure of their six medical clinics and urgent care facilities in Massachusetts.
Compass Medical, which had offices in Braintree, East Bridgewater, Easton, Middleboro, Quincy and Taunton, abruptly laid off much of its staff and closed all of its offices on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, “effective immediately.” Compass Medical failed to provide any reasonable notice, guidance, assistance, or transparency to its current patients, leaving them without continuity of care and scrambling to find providers.
These patients were left without access to prescription refills and scheduled medical appointments, completely disrupting ongoing and future treatment plans.
The lawsuit was filed by Attorney Jonathan Sweet in Plymouth Superior Court on Friday. Plaintiffs are seeking monetary damages and injunctive relief arising out of Compass Medical’s unlawful business practices.
Patients impacted by the closure of Compass Medical facilities can contact Keches Law Group aqui.
