Todos los trabajadores que reciben indemnizaci\u00f3n por incapacidad permanente y total<\/a>-o las personas que reciben las prestaciones de un c\u00f3nyuge fallecido- tambi\u00e9n tienen derecho a recibir ajustes por el coste de la vida (COLA). Sin embargo, no se realizar\u00e1 ning\u00fan COLA a una persona que reciba prestaciones de incapacidad de la Seguridad Social si el pago de la Seguridad Social tuviera que ajustarse como resultado del pago del COLA.<\/p>\n

Cada a\u00f1o, el 1 de octubre, el Director de Administraci\u00f3n del Departamento de Accidentes Laborales determina el cambio porcentual con respecto al a\u00f1o anterior del salario medio semanal en Massachusetts.
