Keches Law Group obtained a $500,000 settlement for a nurse experiencing work-related spinal injuries.
A 51-year-old plaintiff worked as a nurse for about 20 years. In March 2015, the plaintiff attempted to move a patient to place a pillow under their head. The plaintiff experienced a burning sensation in her neck, which traveled into her arms. She was taken out of work due to the pain.
The plaintiff had a prior work injury in 2000 under the same employer. This injury resulted in an L4-L5 discectomy and laminectomy. In 2004 the plaintiff had an L4-5-disc replacement, but her neck pain continued when she finally returned to work. It wasn’t until 2014 that she had a cervical fusion from C4-C7.
The case was settled for $500,000.
